Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson is a Saint Lucian R&B Fusion singer, songwriter, and musician affectionately called M.R. He was born into a family of musicians and knew at an early age that he would pursue music to have his voice heard. With a great support system, his family and friends groomed him to become a professional artist. He is recognized as a humble and prolific singer with a voice that inspires and a songwriter that makes music just about for everyone. He officially came into the music industry in 2010 and released his debut album in 2017 titled “Shades.” A versatile crooner whose melodious and adaptable voice allows him to sing just about any music genre other than R&B including Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Zouk, Afro-beats and Hip Hop — with such outstanding talent, he’s considered one of Saint Lucia's unique and artists, who have secured a brand ambassador for FLOW Saint Lucia, one of the Caribbean’s leading multinational telecommunications company from 2018 to present. The sensational dynamic Caribbean singer has shared the stage with the likes of American music stars Mary Mary and R. Kelly just to name a few. He is one of those never slowing down artists, someone who is always busy in the studio recording. In 2015, he teamed up with Soca star Sir Lancelot for their popular groovy party Soca song “Hooray,” and in April 2016 he did the tuneful Soca-Zouk Fusion song titled “Heartbeat” with Grenada’s renowned Soca artist Mr Killa. This song was from his third EP “Living Life” which was released in 2016. This electrifying EP created a buzz in some parts of the world. In 2018- 2019, he released a total of six fusion singles comprised of R&B, Soca, Zouk, and Pop — four of which were accompanied with music videos.In February 2020, he released a thrilling Afro-beats love song with a music video called “Give It To Me” featuring Tarela, a Nigerian Dancehall Reggae singer. In July of the said year, he teamed up with Saint Lucian artist Kiedel Sonny for the song “Jammin Behind You” a raise the roof Soca single followed by a hype Dancehall song with Freezy X entitled “Sa Feb” in September. Winding down the year, in November he did another song with Kiedel Sonny titled “Miles Away.” In August 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, he released a sweet-sounding catchy popular Afro-pop single titled “Let Me Know” with a visual. This song gets massive airplay in the Caribbean, UK, and Europe. The music sensation enjoys making music that inspires people and at the same time, makes them feel good. If you asked him, he would tell you he is only human — one who feels what others feel and can identify with their moments of joy and sorrow. A patriotic Saint Lucian who believes in nation building, and for this he has partnered with St. Lucian non-profit organization Our Future . He kicked off 2023 with the release of his sophomore nine-track studio album dubbed “Questions” on January 8. From the album, he releases a music video for the Afro- beats single “Questions” on January 26, followed by the release of another visual for the single “Sweet Addiction” on January 26. One of his recent major performances was as a headliner at the world renowned Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival on May 13, 2023, in St. Lucia. One of M.R. main goals is to become one of the Caribbean’s greatest music stars, where his music resonated with many people globally—no matter their race or ethnic background.
